Ha Long Bay back to Hanoi

Breakfast: Crepes, fried bananas, noodle soup, watermelon, pineapple, and oreos hah!

Lunch: Fried onions; fried pork; chicken with onions, carrots, and tomatoes; napa cabbage; watermelon.

Aquaroma looks like Aquafina and Dasani has a completely different looking brand than in the States.

Animals for eating: turtles, eels, and crazy looking praying mantis shrimp??!

Asian Funyans! Same flavor, different texture.

Graves in rice fields all along drive back to Hanoi.

The architecture is very interesting. Check out the pictures for some examples. All the buildings have large silver water tanks on the roofs.

Dinner: Banh Cuon - Vietnamese steamed rolled rice pancakes. Pork. $1. SO TASTY!!

Ran into my British buddies in a market on the way back to the hostel after dinner! Again, it's a small world in Hanoi :-)

  1. When you say fried bananas, do you mean actual bananas? Or plantains?

    1. Banana! Although there have been other occasions when I swear they were plantains.
